Markets News Friday: European shares fall to a 6-month low; BA reports record loss

Markets news on stocks, currencies and commodities; In Europe, the Dow Jones Stoxx 600 has dipped 0.9% Friday to a six month low amidst continuing concerns about the sovereign debt crisis. Meanwhile, British Airways today reported record annual losses of £531m sterling and it is facing strikes on Monday led by trade union Unite. BA’s total losses for the past two years to £932m after a £401m loss the previous year.
